Brittany: “You should always treat people with respect.”
Ray: “Yeah. Yeah, that’s right. But if people don’t respect you, and you still treat them with respect, then you’re a doormat, if you understand what I mean.”
Brittany: “What does that mean?”
Ray: “Well, you know, like a doormat. A doormat is a person who lets other people walk all over 'em.”
Brittany: “So what do you do?”
Ray: “Well, you want people to respect you. That’s the main thing. But, um, if people don’t respect you, that’s when you make 'em fear you.”

人生就是这样，又不是钱，所有人都会喜欢，但是可以让别人尊重你，如果这些人不尊重你，一般人也就放弃了，大不了不理就是了。不过电视剧的世界观是弱肉强食，所以说就要让别人害怕你。
理解你没有办法让所有人喜欢你很重要，否则会陷入为什么我不受大家喜欢的失落感。
